Having upgraded the PowerBook 17 to Panther (Mac OS X 10.3), I can say that I am very pleased. The reason I upgraded was for threaded email, but the ability to print to a Windows printer is a joy. The only problem I encountered was Emacs refused to run. So, I struck out, downloaded it from CVS, built and installed, and everything is fine. Thanks to Jason for the help in that one.

Some say it seems a bit faster, but I am not seeing that. Seems about the same speed to me. The only speed difference I have seen is that Preview is actually usable now from a speed perspective.
